Vilenica
An exemplary show cave of the Classical Karst

Its purpose was to visit the always surprising Sežana-Divača karst.

Razdrto
55334. View of Mount Nanos from Razdrto. The clouds have moved just in position to hide the unpleasant traces of human presence on the exposed peak.
Petnjak

55335. Manna ash, Fraxinus ornus, is fully covered with white flowers every seventh year. And this year is such a year.

Vilenica
55345. View from the entrance towards the surface. The cave was first opened for tourist visits in 1633.
55343. View from the passage to the lowest hall open to visitors towards the staircase leading back to the entrance. The path through the cave gradually descends to a depth of 72 meters.
55342. The cave was formed along a mighty fissure and is rich in stalactite decoration. The lighting is not distracting, but it is also not too subdued, unlike the solutions in many recently renovated caves, so the beauty of Vilenica shines in all its glory.

55347. Jaka, one of the guardians of Vilenica. The cave does not have just a splendid interior, visitors are also delighted by the beautiful park around the entrance, with trees and large, ornamented stones that invites everybody to relax in the warm sun. The phone camera algorithm, which blurred the background in portrait mode, ignored a few branches above Jaka's head ("AI"). They were the same distance from the lens as the face. A little retouching helped.
