participants of the DZRJL
Caving School excursion, where of course photography would also be on the agenda.

Planinsko polje

55201. View from the north across the field to Planina with the Javorniki in the background
Planinska jama, Free Entrance Day (2025 Cave Opening Day)

55202. View from the opposite bank of the Pivka river to the path after the exit from the tunnel, with participants of the free cave tour.

55204. View from the same standpoint, to the Confluence of the Pivka (left in front) and Rak (right) rivers

55203. View to the platform above the Confluence (slightly to the right of the previous shot) with visitors ...

55225. ... and without them. On this occasion the Confluence was illuminated with three 500 W LED floodlights, two are shown top right, one at the bottom right. Compared to the light from the lanterns that the visitors carry, the scene was as bright as daylight.

55205. Borut, caver and diver

PŽ1. Peter's photo showing how Borut's portrait was created. The main source of light was Marina's headlight.

55208. Marina

55207. and Peter,

55209. ... here on the bridge over Pivka

55210. View from the bridge to the beginning of the Pivka cave branch

55213. View back along the path in the Pivka branch, right after the Schmidl Pass, with Peter, Marina and Klok

55215. Marina on the old Italian trail upstream from the Schmidl Hall

55216 and 55517. After a short snack, Marina and Peter returned, while the author took a few more photos. In the picture - a view from the saddle in Schmidl Hall back downstream - a collage of two photos. The first (55216) was a trial photo, without an extra, the author appeared in the later ones. Yet the first photo was by far the best. Thus, the author added just the outline of himself to photo 55216, cut from the photo 55217. 11 lamps were used for this photo, 6 floodlights and 5 with a narrow beam.

55220. A closer view of one of the streams of the Pivka River that flows into this siphon, it is also depicted in the previous photo, in the lower right corner.

55222. Another view of the platform above the confluence, in the middle left the beginning of the Rak river cave branch is visible.

55224. Visitors return through the tunnel, which was illuminated for this occasion with a light strip.

VL54. View of the platform downstream from the building of the ancient sawmill and the (later) power plant. Behind the building, part of the wall above the cave entrance is visible.

55226. Part of the Unica river flows through the artificial channel which has an outflow in the extension on the left side of the building from the previous photo.
Cave of the Holy Three Kings (Jama Sv. Treh Kraljev), Excursion of the DZRJL Caving School

55227. Group photo at the passage from the artificial tunnel to the cave. From left to right: Andrej, Klok, Eutimija, Klara, Sebastjan (behind Vanja's helmet, on top of the last descent from the cave), Vanja, Lorena and Žak.

55228. Another, slightly more emotional photo: Klara, Sebastjan, Uroš and Lorena.

55229. Tim at the top of the last descent on the way back from the cave

55230. David came the furthest, from Koper, not by car but by bike. Caving requires a lot of personal equipment and that's why he now also has a trailer behind his bike. It seems small, but it carries a lot.

55231. Matija. He also came by bicycle, from Škofja Loka.

55232. Tinkara was the last to return from the cave.
